Practice Closure Notice
I have made the decision to close my private practice
effective December 31, 2025.
Although I initially hoped to continue operating, the administrative demands of outpatient psychiatric care have increased significantly and are no longer sustainable for me as a solo provider.
To support established patients, I will offer limited availability
to assist with transition needs only.
During this time:
-
I cannot change or adjust treatment plans, as doing so requires supervision and ongoing clinical infrastructure that I am unable to provide.
-
All care during this transition period is private-pay only.
-
If you are unable or do not wish to continue under a private-pay model, and you were previously seen at Silver State Counseling, please contact them directly to coordinate continuation of care with another provider.
I strongly encourage all patients to contact their insurance plan’s member services for assistance in identifying in-network psychiatric providers.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your care.
-------
Please note, you are required to have a blood pressure cuff and scale to provide vital signs at the beginning of your appointment to ensure treatment is safe.
To protect both patient safety and provider well-being,
communication and scheduling will follow these guidelines:
-
Schedule - Wednesday evenings, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
-
Modality -TELEHEALTH only currently.
-
Required - Blood pressure cuff, so you can provide your blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight at the beginning of your appointment.
-
Communications - Clinical questions, medication changes, and treatment updates must be discussed during appointments, not by message or email.
-
Messages and voicemails - Reviewed during clinic hours only, and replies may take 2–3 business days.
-
Pharmacy and prior authorization requests - Handled only during clinic hours due to the need for dedicated administrative time.
-
Payment - Required at time of booking.

MEDICARE/MEDICAID Patients
I recently received clarification on federal and state policies regarding billing for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
I’m not permitted to accept private or cash payment from individuals covered under these programs,
even if they prefer to pay out of pocket.
I previously accepted some patients this way while awaiting clear guidance, but to remain fully compliant, I can no longer do so.
I’m happy to provide referrals and assist with transferring records to another provider who can continue your care under your insurance plan.
